Progress reports

Pull together what was done over a week or month into a tidy, editable report — with a link back to the thread each line came from.

What it does

A progress report is a curated list of work for a period. You add lines (each is a short piece of wording you can edit), put them in the order you want, and optionally keep a link back to the thread a line came from. It's ideal for a weekly or monthly summary to a client or manager.

Where to find it

  • Navigation: Reports menu → Progress reports
  • URL: /dashboard/progress-reports

Step by step

Create a report

  1. Open Progress reports and click New report.
  2. Give it a Title (e.g. Week of 16 June) and, optionally, a From and To date.
  3. Click Create report.

Add and edit lines

  1. Click a report to expand it.
  2. Type a line of work in the Add a line of work… box and click Add (or press Enter).
  3. Hover a line to edit its wording (pencil) or remove it (bin). Use the ▲ / ▼ arrows to reorder lines.
  4. If a line is linked to a thread, an ↗ reference appears beneath it — click it to open the source thread.

Delete a report

Click the bin icon on the report's row. This removes the report and all its lines.

What each screen shows

  • The list — each report with its title, item count and period.
  • Expanded report — its lines in order, each with reorder arrows, an edit and a remove action, and a link back to its source thread where one is set. An Add a line of work box sits at the bottom.

Tips and good to know

  • Reports are shared across your organisation.
  • Wording is fully editable, so you can rephrase raw notes into client-friendly language.

Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to try | | --- | --- | | My line lost its order | Use the ▲ / ▼ arrows to reorder; the order is saved as you go. | | A line's source link is missing | Lines added directly on this page have no thread link; only lines created from a thread carry one. |
