What it does
The Reports page rolls up every completed time log across your team into one view: total time, and the same totals split out by project and by person, each showing logged time, the portion marked billable, and the portion approved to charge. Set a default hourly rate and Reports also values that logged time in £ and tracks it against each project's optional cost budget.
Where to find it
Click Reports in the top navigation, or go to /dashboard/reports.
Step by step
Read the report
- Open Reports.
- Use the This week / This month / All time toggle (top right) to scope the figures to a period.
- The cards at the top show your team's totals for that period: Logged, Billable and
Approved time — plus a Value card (logged time × your hourly rate) once a rate is set.
- By project and By person list each one with a bar (sized by logged time) and its logged /
billable / approved figures, and the £ value of that time when a rate is set.
Value time and track cost (£)
- In Settings → Team, set a default hourly rate. Reports immediately values all logged time at that
rate (the Value card and a £ figure on each row). Set it to 0 to turn costing off.
- Give a project a cost budget: open its board, click Set budget, and fill in Cost budget (£)
(you can set an hours budget, a cost budget, or both — leave a field at 0 to skip it).
- That project's row then shows £ used of £ budget (%), turning red once you're over — just like the
hours budget.
Export to CSV
- Click CSV (next to the period toggle) to download the current report — the by-project and by-person
rows for the selected period — as a spreadsheet-ready file. Hours are given to two decimals, and the Valued cost and Budget cost columns carry the £ figures.
Make the numbers meaningful
- Time only appears here once it's logged on a thread (start a timer, or use Log time).
- Mark entries billable and approve the chargeable portion on the Time page or on a thread —
those flags feed the billable and approved columns here.
What each screen shows
- Summary cards — team totals for Logged, Billable, Approved time and (with a rate set) Value.
- By project / By person tables — one row each, with a proportional bar, the three time figures and the
£ value of the logged time.
Tips
- An empty report just means no time has been logged yet — track some time and refresh.
- Use the breakdowns to spot where effort is concentrated and what's actually chargeable.
- If a project has an hours or cost budget (set from its board), its row shows used of budget (%)
and the bar turns red once you're over — a quick health check across all projects.
Troubleshooting
- A project/person is missing — they'll only appear once time has been logged against their threads.
